Contact lenses are not lifetime medical devices. Depending on the type of contact lenses you are prescribed, your lenses will need to be replaced after the designated amount of time. Licensed Georgia optometrist Marc Lay, or any of the qualified professionals at our on-site Optical Center, can work with you individually to review the proper care required of your specific contact lenses for optimal performance.
Though it may be tempting to wear your contact lenses longer than the recommended amount of time, it’s important to adhere to the manufacturer’s replacement guidelines to avoid side effects like dry eye, blurred vision, corneal abrasion, or even corneal ulcers that can result from contact misuse.
